I hope everyone has had a wonderful week!

In Honors Pre-Calculus this week, we continued and finished up Unit 6, Vectors, Parametric, and Polar Functions. Students learned how to plot polar points, convert from polar to rectangular, and vice versa, and write complex numbers in trigonometric form. On Tuesday the students were able to work on their Vectors on Vacation Project. This project is due on May 10. Due to AP testing beginning on Monday, students who will be in class on Monday will be able to work on the vectors project or their reference book. We will Review for the Unit 6 Test on Tuesday, and take the Unit 6 Test on Wednesday.

In Intro to HS Math this week, we finished up Unit 4 and took the Unit 4 test on Tuesday. Students learned how to find whether a set of data was linear, quadratic, or exponential, and then find the line of best fit. They also learn dhow to apply this information to real world situations. We finished up the week by beginning Unit 5, which has 2 parts. We began with the 4 forms of linear expressions (verbal, equations, tables, and graphs). Next week we will finish up the 4 forms and then begin phase 2: Pythagorean Theorem.

Have a wonderful weekend!
