[UPDATE Week of 9/7]

Students and Parents,

I hope everyone had a great week!

In Foundations of Math II this week, we finished up Unit 1 and took a test.  Tests have been returned and can be retaken by the end of next week.  I am available for remediation after school on Wednesdays and Fridays, in addition to Husky Help.  We also started Unit 2 this week where we learned how to simplify radicals and solve the, using the quadratic formula.  The quadratic formula has a catchy song that goes along with it to help with memorization, so ask your students to sing it for you:) We finished the week today with a quiz on simplifying radicals and the quadratic formula.

In Pre-Calculus this week, we finished up Unit 1 as well.  We took a test on Thursday and those were returned today.  The class average was a 73%, which is pretty good for the first test.  This test can be retaken on 9/22.  Remediation starts next week for both the Pre-Requisite Test and the Unit 1 Test.  I am available on Wednesdays and Fridays after school, in addition to Husky Help.  The College Project is due next Friday and everyone should be continually working on their reference books!  The first checkpoint is on Wednesday, September 30.  Units 1 and 2 should be complete by then.

Have a wonderful weekend and GO HUSKIES!

Best,

Ms. Winstead
