Carolina Victory!

Students and Parents,

Whew!! What a game last night!  Whenever the Heels can muster up a win against Duke, it’s quite a feat so I’m so happy this morning!  I’m glad that we are back in the groove of school too.  These snow days have been fantastic but stressful too!  Hopefully this past week was the last of them and we can glide on through the year!

In Pre-Calculus this week, we began Unit 2, which mainly discusses functions: linear, quadratic, and functions of higher degree.  You students know almost every way to analyze these equations as well!  Today we will take a quiz on 2.1 – 2.4 and we will take the Unit 2 Test on Wednesday of next week.  Also, your students have their first project due on March 26-28.  The information on this Universal Language Project can be found under the Pre-Calculus tab up at the top of the page.

In Common Core II, we finished up Unit 2 this week.  We talked about different tyles of functions, such as linear, quadratic, and circles.  We also found the intersections of these lines algebraically and by graphing.  We also incorporated inequalities into the mix just to spice things up!  We reviewed for the Unit 2 Test today and we will take the Unit 2 Test on Monday of next week.  We will finish up the week by starting on Unit 3, and beginning our first project!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend and enjoy the conclusion of the Winter Olympics!  GO TEAM USA!
